Henry Caville cast as Geralt in The Witcher Netflix series!

Henry Caville has been cast to play Geralt of Rivia in a Netflix adaptation of The Witcher. Caville has said that he loves the games and loves the character and was super interested in playing the role months ago. Yesterday Netflix confirmed that he will be Geralt in the 8-episode series. Caville is best known for his roles as Superman in the DC movie universe as well as more recently in Mission Impossible Fallout.

The internet has had its share of reactions but the Voice of Geralt in the video games Doug Cockle gave his input. “People keep asking... so... let me go on record saying I think that #HenryCavill will do a great job as #GeraltOfRivia ! He'll make it his own of course, as well he should, and I can't wait to see what @LHissrich and the whole @netflix team create. It's gonna be #Magic”

Lauren Hissrich is going to be heading up the project and met with caville about the role before even having writers or scripts. The project is slated to complete sometime in 2020 and the team has stated that they are focused on quality over speed. Hissrich has been a part of other Netflix shows like Daredevil, and The Defenders.

The team around this show continues to get better with time and I hope we finally see a good video game adaptation, even though they were already adapted from books.

Is this getting you even more excited for The Witcher coming to Netflix? What other games or books would you love to see come to life on Netflix?
